• The college spreads in an area of around 60 acres in the crowded north campus. Some of its notable alumni are- Dr. Kapil Sibal, Dr. Shashi Tharoor and famed Indian journalist Barkha Dutt. All in one, its like the combination of a school and a college, where you will get the strictness of a school in a lively college atmosphere.

2. SHRI RAM COLLEGE OF COMMERCE

• The college is well known for its large Sports Complex with a large playground, basketball court, etc. The washrooms are very hygienic. The Hindu college canteen is also considered as one of the best in the whole campus as it serves good food at affordable rates. 4. HANSRAJ COLLEGE

• It is located in the north campus and is among the Star colleges of the Delhi University. Also, it is quite famous among the students as Shahrukh's college. 

• Major courses that the college offers are- B.A. Economics (Hons), BSc. Physics (Hons), BSc. Chemistry (Hons), BSc. Botany (Hons), B.Com. (Hons), B.A. Economics (Hons), BSc. Computer Science (Hons), BSc. Maths (Hons), etc. The students of this college can also enroll for the various certificate courses in foreign languages. The Faculties here are quite good and experienced. 

• The Hansraj college also has long list of notable alumni. Some of them are- Shah Rukh Khan, Anurag Kashyap, Kiren Rijiju, Aarti Bajaj, Anil Aggrawal, etc. Lover's point, the hangout point of the college has its own charm.

5. MIRANDA HOUSE (W)

• This top-notch women's college is situated in the north campus. The campus is quite beautiful and is spread across a vast area. The classrooms are wi-fi enabled and air conditioned.

• Miranda House was ranked 1st by the NIRF in the category of colleges. The courses offered by the college are-B.A.Programme, B.A. Honours- Bengali, Economics, English, Geography, Hindi, History, Music, Philosophy, Political Science, Sanskrit, Sociology, B.Sc. Honours- Botany, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Zoology, B.Sc- Life Sciences, Physical Science (Computer Science).

6. LADY SHRI RAM COLLEGE (W)

(H)- Mathematics, Statistics, B.El.Ed. The college has a properly working placement cell. Some of its top recruiters are- Nestle, J Shaw and Mickensy. However, there are no elections in the college, because the college is not associated with DUSU. 

• It has a well built infrastructure. LSR also has 20+ clubs for the extra-curricular activities. Some of its notable alumni are- Maneka Sanjay Gandhi, Kiran Walia, Tina Dabi, Jasmine Kaur Roy, Aung San Suu Kyi, Gurmehar Kaur, etc. 

• Tarang, the three day annual cultural fest of the LSR is well known for bringing the student talents from all over the country. 

7. SRI VENKETESWARA COLLEGE

• Also called as "Venky", it is the Hindu of  the south campus. Established in the year 1961, it aimed to provide quality education to the South Indian students. Its canteen is quite famous for its south Indian cuisines. The campus is spread across a vast area with its green lawns increasing the scenic beauty. 

• Venky is quite famous for its science courses which can be considered as one of the best in DU. Courses offered by the college are- B.A. (Hons)- Economics, English, Hindi, History, Political Science, Sanskrit, Sociology,  B.A. Programme, B. Com. Programme, B. Com. (Hons), B. Sc. Life Sciences, B. Sc. (Hons)-Bio-Chemistry, Botany, Chemistry, Electronics, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Zoology, Biological Sciences. 

• It is very easy to find accommodations near the college. Also students of Venky are placed in companies like Deloitte, KPMG, Ernst & Young, Amazon, Google, etc after their graduation. Some of its notable alumni are- Gaurav Kapur, Rishabh Pant, Manavjit Sandhu, Raghu Ram, etc. Nexus, the annual fest has its own attractions.

8. KIRORIMAL COLLEGE

• Established in the year 1954, the KMC is quite famous for its alumni- superstar Amitabh Bachhan. It is one among the colony of colleges located in the north campus. The fee structure of all the courses is pocket-friendly.

• Major courses offered by the college are- B.A. Geography (Hons), BSc. Zoology (Hons), Bsc. Maths (Hons), Bsc. Physics (Hons), B.Com. (Hons), etc. MUSOC, the music society of KMC is one of the best in India. Some of the notable alumni are- Amitabh Bachchan, KK, Shakti Kapoor, Sanam Puri , Naveen Patnaik, etc. 

• The placement cell of the college is also quite active. Kirori Mal College conducts its annual fest - Renaissance every year. Overall, it is a good college.

9. RAMJAS COLLEGE

• It is one of the oldest college of the University of Delhi. Ramjas is well known for its healthy politics in the campus. DUSU has its major contribution from the college. The infrastructure of the college is quite impressive. 

• Recently it had its platinum jubilee. The department of History, Mathematics of this college are quite famous in DU. Due to its greenery, the campus often called as "Rainforest". The college also provides Volletball, Badminton, and Table tennis facilities. 

• It offers a wide range of courses such as- Botany. Chemistry, Commerce, Economics, English, Hindi, History, Mathematics, Music, Philosophy, Physical Education, etc. Some of its notable alumni are- Ajit Prakash Shah, Manoj Bajpai, Praveen Kumar, Ranbir Singh Hooda, Prakash Jha, etc.

10. SGTB KHALSA

• It is another top tier college of the University of Delhi which is located in the north campus. It was established in 1951 with an aim to provide quality education to the young Punjabi refugees and also to promote the Punjabi culture. 

• The placement records of this college are quite good. Some of the top recruiters are- E&Y, KPMG, Deloitte, PWC, Zomato, SBI, Grant Thorton, TCS, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, IBM Daksh, Genpact, ICICI Prudential, S&P Global Market Intelligence, etc. It also offers various certificate courses in Foreign languages. Major courses offered by the college are- B.A. (Hons), B.Com. (Hons), B.Tech. in Computer Science, etc. 

• Surprisingly, the highest cut-off  of DU in 2018 was 99.6% for B.Sc (Hons) in Electronics (SGTB Khalsa College). The college has produced a lot of distinguished alumni- Rabbi Shergill, Maninder Singh, Mohinder Amarnath, etc.
